Quietude Retreat Center is celebrating 100 years in Black Mountain. Established in 1926 and formally known as Pine Lodge & Cabin Creek, Quietude has welcomed generations of guests to its peaceful creekside property. After Hurricane Helen brought flooding to the property in 2024, Quietude began the process of recovery & renewal. Today, Quietude is once again welcoming the community for retreats, workshops, and special events. This ribbon cutting celebrates 100 years of history, resilience, renewal, and community in the Swannanoa Valley.
