ROBERTO VENGOECHEA is a self-taught designer and sculptor, born in Colombia, South America. His 50 years of experience inspires him to create sophisticated and futuristic fine jewelry, incorporating gemstones and diamonds.

Roberto honed his skills in Miami, Florida, initially for the wholesale jewelry trade, without recognition for his creativity as a designer. During that time he mastered all aspects of the jewelry industry but his real expertise was wax modelling. Since childhood he aspired to be an architect. In a sense, he is now fulfilling this dream through futuristic jewelry designs. When he and his wife, June (from Scotland) relocated to North Carolina, they found a unique arts and craft scene in the mountains and their tranquil settings proved to be an inspiration.

Establishing their own jewelry gallery in 1995, VISIONS OF CREATION GALLERY AND STUDIO, located in Black Mountain, NC, features the Avant-Garde collection of one of Western North Carolina's premier jewelry designers, ROBERTO VENGOECHEA. His designs showcase his artisanal craftsmanship in fine jewelry, specializing in custom work. These innovative and unique modernistic shapes of square-shank rings defy the conventional forms and genres, yet are practical in their form and fit.

He was finally able to flourish and unleash his imagination and showcase his innovation.

June's prior corporate legal business skills enables her to oversee the daily operation of the Gallery, handling everything involved with running a prosperous business. 2020 marks the 25th Anniversary of their quaint and inspirational jewelry Gallery. Working together as a team is what makes them successful.
