The Hop Ice Cream has been an institution in Asheville, NC since 1978, producing a wide array of imaginative and locally-influenced dairy and vegan flavors. Owners and joy-makers, Ashley and Greg Garrison, became the fifth proprietors of the business in 2008 after having worked as scoopers since 2003 while enrolled at UNC Asheville. The menu features premium quality, locally-crafted dairy and vegan ice cream served in classic milkshakes, sundaes, desserts, and housemade waffle cones. The Hop’s flagship flavors are offered alongside a variety of staples and rotating flavors, creating a menu that weaves an intricate path through the WNC community and foodscape.
