While studying at Kripalu and the Iyengar Institute in NYC, she began to recognize the benefits of yogic practices, specifically in relation to mental health. While working on her PhD, she was able to begin the work of integrating these practices into mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs.

She continues her study of yoga with an ongoing interest in how yogic practices are emerging within our current cultural paradigm. She endeavors to teach, share, practice, and be present in her teaching and her daily life. She currently teaches yoga at OASIS Recovery Center in Asheville, NC.
