An introductory exploration of Buddhist philosophy and practices designed for curious beginners and those seeking a refresher. Through a mix of teaching, guided meditation, and open discussion, we’ll explore where Buddhism comes from, what it teaches about suffering and freedom, and how its practices can be meaningfully woven into our modern, busy lives.
Led by longtime practitioner David Dixon, the program will emphasize meditation within the context of the Noble Eightfold Path with plenty of practical guidance on posture, breath, and working with common challenges. Expect a grounded approach based on the core sacred texts as well as exposure to different Buddhist traditions, time to ask questions, try out meditation gear, and connect the teachings to everyday life.
