Western NC Area Out of the Darkness Community Walk (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention NC Chapter)

Description
In our Community, those affected by suicide – and those who support them – come together to raise awareness and much-needed funds which go directly towards research, advocacy, education & support, strongly sending the message that no one is alone. Walks are between 1 to 3 miles and non-competitive. The route and additional information specific to the Western North Carolina Walk will be added closer to Walk day.
Our program includes an opening ceremony, activities of hope, healing & remembrance, resource tables, and complimentary honor beads for every participant.
Admission is free. Donations are encouraged. All registered participants who raise $150 or more will earn a 2026 Westen NC Walk shirt. Register at American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
