Pawpaw Ice Cream Returns! With the help of our friends at Milkweed Meadows Farm, we’re thrilled to announce that dairy and vegan Pawpaw Ice Cream is back at all four locations of The Hop Ice Cream starting Friday, October 2nd! To celebrate, Asheville GreenWorks will join us at The Hop (640 Merrimon Ave) on Friday, 10/2 from 3–6pm with info on their environmental work and pawpaw seedlings available for purchase.. What’s a Pawpaw? Often called “Appalachia’s best-kept secret,” the pawpaw has thin green skin, large brown seeds, and a custard-like golden flesh with tropical notes of mango, banana, vanilla, and pineapple.
