DESCRIPTION:Free for the community! This class works from a base of Sun Style\, with TaiChi walking\, seated TaiChi\, Yang and Chen Styles and QiGong each being practiced. TaiChi is more than just waving your arms and walking around. There are many different styles\, and each has a different emphasis and feel. In this series of classes we will be exploring some of them\, as well as the different ways that you can practice them. No matter what your level of mobility is\, or what limitations you have\, you can get the benefits of improved movement and better health.\nJay Lohr is a certified teacher with the TaiChi for Health Institute\, focuses on TaiChi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention\, helping people stay healthy and active for life. He currently teaches TaiChi at the YMCA of Black Mountain.\nJoin us for a fun and relaxed experience!\nCommunity Hub projects are funded in part by a grant from the American Red Cross\, and a grant from the North Carolina Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund.
